James
Dandy Greig Building
Built
at the bottom of the High Street in the 1830's is the building
known for a time as Dandy Greig's Folly; it was built by James
(Dandy) Greig, a linen merchant with grandoise notions in clothing
and architecture but unfortunately he was declared bankrupt
before he ever lived in the house. More detail to follow.
